The Nesting (1981)
Horror Rated R
Plot
Gothic mystery writer Lauren Cochran leaves New York to move into an eerie Victorian mansion, once a brothel haunted by the ghost of a madam Florinda Costello. The ex-brothel is the scene of several gore killings, witnessed by Lauren.
Acting
Lead Robin Groves is passable, but nothing more or less, and John Carradine is solid in his supporting role and as narrator.
Gore
The film is Rated R, but the gore is strictly at a PG-13 (PG when this movie came out) level.
Sex/Nudity
The lead Robin Groves is seen topless in a mirror as shes looks herself over, and later there is some brief toplessness during a sex scene. Tame considering its about a haunted brothel.
Final Thoughts
Started as another generic but decent haunted house story, but got very tiring very quickly, as the story never really evolves into anything more, nor does it have 3 distinct parts. Not worth owning this.
