The Landlord (2009)
Comedy/Horror Not Rated
Plot
The Landlord is the story of Tyler, the unfortunate young proprietor of a demon-haunted apartment building. While finding tenants has never been a problem for Tyler, keeping them alive long enough to pay rent is. No matter how nicely Tyler asks, he cannot keep the demons from eating the renters (or persuade them to wait a month or two, even). They never listen. And why should they? They have an all-you-can-eat buffet of delicious human flesh and Tyler as their pet monkey. But all that might change when Tyler takes a liking to the newest tenant, a desperate young woman running from demons of her own.
Acting
Very little dramatic acting talent involved, however there where some good comedic performances.
Gore
Some very fake looking severed limbs, and some blood splatter.
Sex/Nudity
None
Final Thoughts
When this started out, i was expected another stupid, unfunny and tired micro budget horror comedy, and it is somewhat that. However, it does manage to be funny at some moments, and although there is not a whole lot of the horror element in it, it does those scenes pretty well. Certainly not a classic by any means, but definitely better than most of it kind, and kept my interest throughout, which is more than can be said for most. Worth the viewing.
