Def-Con 4 (1985)
Thriller/Action/Sci-Fi Rated R
Plot
Two men and a woman circle the globe in a satellite armed with a nuclear device. The third world war breaks out, and a few months later the satellite crashes. They survive the crash but one man gets killed by survivors and the other man gets caught. The woman stays by the remains of the the satellite but is soon caught by evil punks who have taken power.
Acting
Maury Chaykin, who died this past July, is the only actor of note, and certainly give the strongest performance. However no one is really bad and its really the characters that are worse than the actors portraying them.
Action/Gore
And severed hand and lots of gunshot wounds.
Sex/Nudity
Some random boobs from extras.
Final Thoughts
Another Sci-Fi Thriller that ultimately fails to thrill. Its far to slow to be entertaining, and really could have used some b-movie trashiness to break up the monotony of the story and to help liven the pace of the movie. Decent premise and decent acting, but the script and direction are both lacking.
