Death Bed: The Bed That Eats (1977)
Comedy/Horror Not Rated
Plot
An artist's ghost watches in horror as innocent victims fall prey to the whims of a demonic old bed originally designed to seduce a beautiful woman. Can an unsuspecting pair of sleepy siblings reverse the curse, or will they, too, meet a horrible fate? Although it was completed in 1977, this now-classic horror flick wasn't released for 25 years.
Acting
Pretty poor overall, though it does feature the acting debut of William Russ (Boy Meets World, American History X).
Gore
There is a good deal of blood flow, but little violence.
Sex/Nudity
A women is topless while she makes out with a guy on the bed, a women is topless while running away, a few women are seen topless while on and in the bed.
Final Thoughts
This is a movie i had wanted to see for a few years now, and while it was enjoyable to start with, it didn't hold up through the whole movie. This movie to me would be much better suited as a modern day short, not a full length feature from the 70's. The story which revolved entirely around this bed, and is heavily narrated, just doesn't hold up for the full length, it really needed to do something with the human characters, as the whole movie is basically just a long pre-title sequence that starts to get boring after a while. Still a movie worth seeing solely because of the completely ridiculous plot line, but was a disappointment overall.
