Plot
Vanessa, a television reporter covering a story of a farmer attacked by his chickens, discovers that this is not an isolated incident. Travelling to Spain with her cameraman Peter, the two discover the survivors of a town wiped out by the birds thirty years ago. Meanwhile, attacks continue as a child's birthday party ends in tragedy and doves devour a poultry farmer and his wife. Vanessa soon comes to the conclusion that the birds are organizing themselves against the ecological ravages of man, but time is running out as thousands of birds launch an attack against a train Vanessa is traveling on...
Acting
Features b-movie stars Christopher Atkins and Michelle Johnson, who are both average as usually, but failed to make any difference in the movies enjoyability.
Gore
Lots of birds attacks that are fairly intense, and lead to eyes being pecked out, and lots of blood flow.
Sex/Nudity
A women (Michelle Johnson's character) is seen topless and filly nude while getting out of the bath and shower. The scenes certainly look like a body double, despite Johnson numerous nudes scenes both before and after this movie.
Final Thoughts
This movie, also sometime known as "Beaks:The Movie" is basically Rene Cordona Jr.'s remake of Hitchcock classic "The Birds" and its not nearly as good, though still better than many of Corona's efforts. Some of the attack scenes are pretty good and are the most enjoyable parts of the movie. The parts in between drag a little, as the story is just not compelling enough, despite the roles being placed in mostly reliable hands. While i wouldn't seek out this movie too hard, it is available in many of those public domain and micro budget movies I love so much, so if you have it one one of those, don't be afraid to watch it, it's not that bad, and overall worth the viewing.
